James Edgar Pasley of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Age 66, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at his home November 16, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his biological father Edgar Jamison, Springfield, Missouri.
James was born in Springfield, Missouri but at an early age moved to Kansas City, Missouri. He was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri school district. In 1972 James enlisted in the United States Army where he received several honors and medals before retiring. After retirement, James settled in Junction City, Kansas where he would spend several years. As we all know, James wasn't much for settling down. He would soon find his happiness traveling the world from Mexico to Southeast Asia. James didn't let borders or language barriers stop him from life's adventures.
James also had a love for American sports, Basketball and Football. He would call and talk for hours about last night's game or how the opponents would fare on Sunday. He also loved dominoes and pool. In fact, during his younger years in Junction City, he earned the name Cue for his fluid stroke and precise aim.
Dominoes….James could trash talk with the best of them making your game feel inferior to his. He was quick with numbers which was to his advantage. He played fast and that intimidated his opponent. When they played a dominos, he was ready to play, and would almost hit their hand putting down his domino.
James will be affectionately remembered by his loving mother Dorothy Agee and Stepfather Wendell Agee, daughter Candace Cummings (Ray Smith), sons James Pasley Jr and Gary Pasley, brothers Steven Agee and Damon Agee, special aunt Shelia Smith, 3 grandchildren Perry Thorpe, Courtney Thorpe (Marquan Hughes) and Isreal McElwain, 3 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 @ 3:00 p.m. at Seed of Faith International Community Center,9301 E 87th St, Raytown, MO. Services entrusted to Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
