Obituary

James Edward Stafford born on January 31, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Father James Edward Sherrell and Mother Ella Mae Starr. He was proceeded in death by both parents, mother Ella Mae Starr, father James Edward Sherrell; A maternal Grandmother Jimmie Lee Cooper; sisters Willa Mae Beard, Katherine Stafford, and Tina Starr; Maternal Aunt Tommie Jean Cooper, and Maternal Uncle Sylvester Stafford. He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District where he attended Central High School. He eventually went on to obtain a GED so that he could set out to work. He had a passion for working with computers and spent 30 plus years as a computer technician. This passion for computers took him all over the country allowing him to work on and train others on the use of their computers. Outside of computers he had a love of music. He played the bass guitar but was good at other instruments as well. From the 90s to early 2000s he enjoyed talking on the CB radio where he was able to make friends with common interest across the United States. James was a playful person who during sickness still tried to make best of his situation. He loved talking to anyone and making people laugh. Above everything else he enjoyed spending time with his family. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at St Joseph Medical Center. He leaves to cherish his memory 2 sons James Stafford Jr and Jason Stafford (Ashley) both of Kansas City, MO; 2 Daughters Cheilon Sanders of Kansas City, KS and Dianna Stafford of Kansas City, MO; 6 brothers Arthur Stafford (Linda), Darrell Stafford (Kim) and Keith Starr (Allysa) of Kansas City, MO; Roland Starr of Independence, MO; Tracy Starr (Heather) of Billings, MT; and Troy Starr (Joanne) of Atlanta, GA; 1 sister Jackie Starr-Banks (Marvin) of Minneapolis, MN; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
