Janet Kay McKinzy, 65, ws born on January 2, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas to the union of Harry O. Harris and Wilma L. Harris. Both parents, her husband L.C. McKinzy and a brother, Donald Watson preceded her in death.

Janet attended the Kansas City, KS public school district.

Janet was employed at St. Luke's Medical Center over thirty-five years.

Janet married L.C. McKinzy on July 9, 2010 until his passing.

Janet departed this life on May 3, 2020 at University of Kansas Hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Elgin Harris; two brothers, Anthony Watson and Kenneth Harris; one grandson, Elgin Crawford; a grand daughter, Nadirah Harris; five great grand kids; a host of other relatives and friends.
