Janice Marie (Turner) Miller, 60, KCMO, passed away on April 3, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospice House. She was born September 27, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carrie Turner and Herbert Leroy Dixon. She was preceded in death by her father and her son, Martinez Lamont Turner. Janice attended Manual High School and later graduated from House of Heavilin Cosmetology School. She was employed DST, Output Technologies until her illness and disability retirement. Janice was united in marriage to Michael T. Miller who also preceded her in death. She cherished her family dearly and showed them incredible commitment, expressing strength, wisdom, love, care and support. She was always ready to help her family and was there when needed. Janice accepted Christ at a young age. She later rededicated her trust in Jesus Christ as her Savior, displaying strength during her final days. She showed her family a living example of Christ's redeeming power and His promise of everlasting life as she prepared to go home to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Michael T. Miller; daughter, Trina Miller; mother, Carrie Turner; brothers, Arch Turner and Leroy Dixon; sister, Sharon Turner; fifteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, April 7, 12:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the chapel.
