Janice Marie Williams, 61, passed away on May 30, 2016. She was born February 13, 1955 to Frank Sr. and Algetha Williams in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the fourth of seven children. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Frank Williams, Sr. and her youngest son, William 'Leson' Williams. Janice was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District. She was employed by Thriftway, Handi Stop and as housekeeper at St. Luke's Hospital. Janice accepted Christ and was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Kim L. Gladney. She served in the Hospitality Ministry. Janice united in marriage to Richard Reed on October 14, 2001. She loved watching movies, reading and hanging out with her family. Janice never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of fourteen years, Richard Reed; her mother, Algetha Williams; three sons, Michael Williams of Alpharetta, GA, Antonio Williams and Leotis Williams; one daughter, Aisha Kelly of Fort Worth, Texas and one step-daughter, Kajuan Gragg; three brothers, Frank Williams Jr., Charles Williams and Richard Williams; three sisters, Frances Johnson, Yvonne Williams and Veronica Williams; her father and mother-in-law, George and Cloteal Collins; devoted niece, LaTonya Johnson; twenty-one grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, great-great nephews and nieces, other relatives and fiends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 4, 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
