Jeffery R. Hunt was born April 23, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away on May 23, 2022 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by parents Russell Hunt and Florence Garcia, sister Angelina Garcia, grandparents Victor Herrera and Aurora Herrera, uncles Victor Herrera (Tammy), David Herrera (Melissa), and Aunt Lucy Wurtz (Dennis Sr). Jeffery is survived by girlfriend Kelley Kashka, son James Kashka, brother Wayne Hunt (Deidra); sisters Valerie Hunt and Marcella Garcia; uncles John Herrera (Jean), Raymond Herrera, Mario Herrera, Daniel Herrera (Parris); aunts Gloria Southerland (Alan), Rozanna Herrera (Christina), and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Anyone that knew Jeff knew that he had a heart of gold. He would give his last to make sure you had what you needed. The love that he had for his family is incomparable. Jeff would always listen and give advice even when at time he didn't want to but then again that was Jeff. All the silly jokes and his laugh will definitely be missed. If you're reading or hearing this, I could almost bet you had a shot of some kind of alcohol with Jeff. Jeff had his way of talking you into taking a shot even when you didn't want to; and we all know it. Funeral services will be held at Duane Harvey Funeral Directors at 9100 Blue Ridge Blvd. KCMO 64138. Visitation is 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm. Services will start right after on June 7, 2022. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 12:00 p.m.
