Jeffrey Jones was born on April 24, 1959 in Chicago, IL to the union of Johnny Jones, Sr. and Willie Bev Williams. He was preceded in death by both parents and four brothers, Johnny Jr., Cedric, Sheven and Melton Jones.

Jeffrey received his education in the Chicago, Illinois School District, attending Jacob Beilden and John Marshall High School.

Jeffrey was baptized on January 9, 2006. He was a member of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Donald R. Dickson. He served on the usher board committee.

Jeffrey loved being with his family. He enjoyed all kinds of sports and was very fond of animals especially his puppy JoJo. He loved going to family functions; his family was his life! "He was nosey"

Jeffrey departed this life on June 8, 2019 at Truman Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish in his memory: his children, Reggie Wooten, Shaun Balkcom, Pete Bailey, Brandie, Sameer, Arid, Eveora, Amy, and Parashonta; brothers, John L. Jones (Annie), Arnold Jones (Cynthia), Murphy William and Edward Welch; sisters, Jessica Jones, Linda Lewis, Cammille and Sandra; Elizabeth and Eddie Mae; seventeen grandchildren and a host nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, June 15, 3:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
