Jerome Elliott
Johnson
Sep 28, 1956 — Sep 25, 2016
Jerome Elliott Johnson, 59, was born September 28, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Aaron Charles Dean and Rose Pauline Dean. He was preceded in death by both parents and a beloved brother Aaron Ray Johnson. As a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area, Jerome was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri public schools where he attended Westport High School. He continued his educational goals at Penn Valley Community College where he received his Associate's degree and went on to receive further training as a welder. In October of 1973 at the age of eighteen, Jerome enlisted in the United States Army, a role in which he took great pride. After leaving the Military he went on to be employed in many areas of service utilizing his skills gained through his schooling and training. 'Rome', as he was affectionately called by loved ones, was an avid fisherman and a sports fan of his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Jerome also had a passion for cooking. He believed in God and made his confession of Christ early on. Having read the Holy Bible twice over in his life, he preferred relationship over religion though he was an active member of Living Waters Ministries where he served many years in the food ministry before his health limited his abilities. Jerome revealed the greatest triumphs in his life through three unions; one being lawful from which he produced and was blessed with five beautiful children. Jerome Elliott Johnson departed this world on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Saint Luke's Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory: five children, Richard Midgyett, Jerome Elliott Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, Jeneisha Nooner, JayNay Nooner and Jina Nooner all of the Kansas City, MO; one beloved brother, William Larry 'Dollar Bill' Johnson of Independence, MO; nephew, William Larry 'Bink' Johnson; three nieces, W.
