Jerry Edward Brown,67, was born on November 3, 1951 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Emanuel Brown and Carrie L. Marshall Jones. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vicky Adams, two brothers, Eric F. Jones and Raymond C. Jones.

Jerry lived in Kansas City since the age of twelve. He was educated in the Kansas City, MO School District. He graduated from Central High School class of '71'.

Jerry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was member of Shalom Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Henry L. Pace.

Jerry loved spending his time barbequing for his family, friends especially his nephews and nieces after school. He was our "MR. BELVEDERE".

Jerry departed this life on April 20, 2019. He will be surely be missed by his family; all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Michael S. Jones; his parents, Emanuel Brown and Carrie L. Jones; four grandchildren, Shavontae, Michael, Skylar and Kingston; one great granddaughter, Zyerra; a sister, Wanda J. Boyd (Benny); a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Sunday, April 28, 3:00 p.m. at Shalom Missionary Baptist Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
