Jerry Rice was born August 12, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri to Ivory L. Rice and George W. Rice. Jerry was the ninth of 10 children.

Jerry attended Southeast High School. After high school he attended the military. He enjoyed spending time with family, music, dancing and laughter.He had a smile that would brighten anybody's day.

He departed his life on Tuesday July 7, 2020. His father, George Rice, his mother, Ivory Rice, brother, Richard Rice, and sister, Yolanda Rice preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Colby McZeal (mother) Yvette McZeal, son Ronjalo Dixson and six grandchildren. four brothers; George Rice, Eddie Rice, Larry Rice, and Timothy Rice and three sisters; Torita Valezquez, Wanza Rice, and Keba Rice and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral service Saturday, July 18, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private Disposition. Visitation 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic and the City ordinance guest attending are required to wear mask.
