Jessie Hayden, 87, passed away on September 15, 2019 at the home. She was born March 28, 1932 in Macon Mississippi to Addie J. (Kidd) Wallace and I.D. Hayden, who both preceded her in death.

Jessie gave her life to Christ at an early age. She relocated to Kansas City in the 1960's in the Leeds District. She completed the 10th grade.

Jessie was employed at Menorah Medical Center in Food Services in 1968 and she became the head dietitian at Menorah Medical Center. She retired from Research Medical Center in 1996.

Jessie was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and she spent her life and time loving her family. She loved to cook and babysit the babies who entered the family.

Jessie leaves her husband, Willie Paul (deceased); three daughters, Dorothy Hayden (deceased), Sandra Hayden and Aretha Paul; granddaughters, Jessica Hayden, Jaleesa Daniels (Matthew), and Micaela Harris; great grandsons, Elijah Enrives and Mason Daniels; great granddaughter, Lauryn Daniels; sister, Rosie L. Hayden; two nieces, Carmella Hayden and Evelyn Hayden (deceased); three nephews, John Hayden(deceased), Jerry Hayden and Gilbert Hayden; grand-niece, Canela Hayden; two grand-nephews, Damek Hayden and Daron Hayden (deceased); two special sister-like friends, Mrs. Laura Crowder and Ms. Elle Williams; a host of additional and extended family members and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, September 28, 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
