Joan J. Johnson, 79, passed away on November 16, 2018 at Research Medical Center. She was born June 5, 1939 in Troup, Texas to the union of Joe and Ossie Jones. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband David Johnson, and three brothers.

Joan received her education at Staton High School. She was employed by Nordstrom, where she later retired. Joan married David Johnson and to this union Linda Jones was born. She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Linda Jones; three grandchildren, Rena Circe, Robert Jones and Heather; a Godson, Willy Jude; one brother, Joe Jones; five sisters, Gwenda Williams, Mary Clark, Jessica Williams, Mary Land and Flora Grant; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Friday, November 30, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, WA. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
