Johanna was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late Antoinette LindaBernice Whitaker & the late Joe Wheeler.

Johanna grew up in Los Angeles, California and moved to Liberal, Kansas in 1975 where she welcomed her 1st child, in 1977 Tina Ward of Liberal, Kansas. Later Johanna moved to Wichita, Kansas married Donald Jones and welcomer her 2nd child in 1982 Clanay Wheeler of Houston, TX.

She later moved to Kileen, Texas and welcomed her 3rd child in 1987 Rickey Wheeler of Huntsville, Alabama. She moved back to Wichita, Kansas and married Otha Williams and welcomed two daughters in 1994 Symphanee Williams and in 1996 Shalita Williams, both of Kansas City, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Antoinette LindaBernice Whittaker-Barber & Joe Wheeler, and her brother Joey Wheeler.

Johanna leaves to celebrate her legacy her sister Sonja Wheeler-Battle, Ft. Worth, Tx, La Ronda Lott (Chuck), Prichard, Alabama, daughters Tina, Clanay, Symphanee, Shalita, son Rickey, grandchildren DeVondre Livingston, Houston TX, Rashida Davis, Vancouver, WA, Jernell and Kiyona Martinez, Liberal KS, Ky'Ahire Walker, Kansas City, KS, Rayne Rose Sias, Houston, TX, Tyanana, Jordyn, Bryant, Aaliyah, Achilles, Athena, and Malani and a host of family and friends.
