John W. Hawkins 49, died Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the home.

John (Rockee) Hawkins was born November 6, 1971 in Houston, Texas to William Hawkins and Dianne Daugherty Hawkins. He received the nickname Rockee due to him setting off a bottle rocket into the apartment when he was younger.

John was a believer in Christ.

He called himself Big John the biggest of the all. Rockee was a very caring person and loved his family. Before his illness he once owned a fish restaurant and he was always experimenting with recipes.

John leaves in mourning his heart broken family that will truly miss him. He made an impact on everyone's life he touched.

Memorial service will be Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 6:00p.m., at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Services provided by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing is required.
