Obituary

John Timothy Wilson III, 23, passed away on September 28, 2019. He was born June 25, 1996 to the union of John T. Wilson Sr. and Danaryda (Shields) Wilson. John was a very happy child in his early years of life. It was never unusual to see him flash that pearly white smile of his which has always been his trademark within the family. It wasn't too often that you would see him without a smile on his face. It was often said that his smile was so much a part of his charming personality.

John accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age in his life. He was baptized at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Wallace S. Hartsfield Sr. It was his uncle Rev. Dr. Phillip L. Suber who had the privilege to do the baptism of his nephew.

John grew up loving football from the age of 8 years old. He would often time say that he was going to become a professional athlete and take care of his whole entire family so that they wouldn't have to work so hard anymore. The first team that John played for was the Kansas City Seminoles of the South Suburban League. He played with the organization until he began high school and attended Hogan Preparatory Academy. He graduated from Hogan in May, 2014. During college John attended several colleges beginning with Fort Hays State University, University of Central Missouri (UCM), and finally ending his college football career at Avila University.

John was very adventurous and had a zeal for life. John loved music, modeling and even threw his hat into the field of acting. But, he loved music and had been working on various projects for the past several years. Between the music, he enjoyed modeling and other projects as he would say to be were the beginning of being self-employed. Anyone that knew John was often told that he didn't want to work for anyone but, would use it as a means to finance his music and modeling endeavors.

John was a very caring person and would give anyone the shirt off his back if he had too, in order to help them out. Everyone gravitated to John because of his infectious smile and positive energy he would bring when he spoke to others. John loved his family and those select friends of his very much. Grandrising was John's phrase when he said "Good Morning". He was always smiling and willing to help anyone and will be truly missed.

John's mother, Danaryda Shields maternal grandparents Edward Shields and Wanda Jean Shields preceded him in death as well as his paternal grandfather James Howard, and brother John T. Wilson Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Sean Michael Falls; father, John T. Wilson Sr.; three brothers, Charon (Lauren) Thompson, Michael (Keyonia) Cobbins and Marcus West; four sisters, Yoluntae Thompson, Whitney Wilson, Marshelle West, and Marnique West; grandmother, Meredith Harris; three special cousins, LaMarcus Basey, Crystal Rhodes, and Najah Shields; a hosts of loving uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
