On May 7, 2025, Johnella Trezvant Lewis departed this life. She was born in Morrilton,

Arkansas on January 17th, 1926, to Timothy and Jo Willie Palmer Trezvant.

Johnella moved with her family to Kansas City, Kansas in 1945. There, she began her

career as a butcher for Armor & Company where she was employed for over 35 years.

During her tenure she was required to relocate to St. Paul, Minnesota. Upon retirement,

Johnella returned to Kansas City, Missouri.

Johnella confessed her spiritual faith at an early age in Morrilton, Arkansas. She

continued her spiritual development at Eighth Street Baptist Church in Kansas City,

Kansas. While in St. Paul, Minnesota she united with New Hope Baptist Church and

served in several ministries. When she returned to Kansas City, Missouri, Johnella

became a faithful member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Jo Willie Palmer Trezvant; her

son, Wallace Lavell Wesley; her granddaughter Tammy Lanan Wesley; her brothers,

Timothy Trezvant Jr. and Arvester Trezvant; her sisters, Quederry LaShea, Arthella

Abair, DeLois Ferguson, Genevieve Hill, Doris Wilson and Rose Anna Foster.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Johnnie Ruth Thompson; her granddaughters Crystal

Dionne Thompson (Michael Pearson), Sheva Kaareen Franklin (Marcus), Nani Rene

Wesley and 5 great grandchildren. Johnella will be truly missed for many reasons, but especially for her captivating

storytelling and her remarkable ability to bring laughter.
