Obituary

Johnnie Mae Miller, 79, was born June 18, 1937 in Tunica, Mississippi to the late Sam and Carrie (Henderson) Milton. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny David Doshie. Johnnie Mae was educated in the public schools of Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of the Mt. Carmel Church of God in Christ. She truly loved the Lord and enjoyed worshipping with her church family. Johnnie Mae worked as a cook at Blue Ridge Nursing Home. On September 1, 1992, she retired after many years of dedicated service. Johnnie Mae was united in marriage to William Miller who also preceded her in death on May 24, 1995. She was a beautiful woman who enjoyed life and loved making people laugh. Johnnie Mae departed this life on May 17, 2017 at the Overland Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Earl Doshie (Penny); three daughters, Johnnie Prince, Willie Mae Turner and Debbie Dunlap; daughter-in-law, Tangelia Doshie; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Thursday, May 25, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
