Johnny Clifton Hollowell, 84, went home to glory on February 28, 2019 at his home. He was born on February 24, 1935, to the union of John D Hollowell and Annie Suttel Hollowell in Earle, Arkansas. Both parents, two brothers, five sisters, and one granddaughter preceded him in death.

Johnny attended high school in Parkin, Arkansas and shortly after graduation joined the United States Army, serving four years. Johnny moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1952 where he married and began his family.

Johnny loved to play the harmonica. He also loved to cook and eat good "soul food", especially greens and salmon croquettes. He loved to share his feast with friends of Swope Ridge where he resided.

He leaves to cherish his memory: four sons, Johnny Ray Kyle, Johnny Hollowell, Darryl Hollowell, and Clevell Roper; four daughters, Cathi Nash (Marvin), Pamela Williams (Larry), Tracy Hollowell, and Andrea Hollowell. Johnny also lived to see sixteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, March 9, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment pending. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on website.
