Jordan D.
Coburn
Jun 11, 1995 — Mar 3, 2019
Jordan DeVante Coburn, 23, was born June 11, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri to Juanita Lynn Coburn and John Grandberry. He was affectionately known as J Dot, J-Bone, Lil Buddy. He was a smart, really laid back, patient, caring and very loving father, son, brother, friend and fiancé. Everyone knew that Jordan was a mama's boy! Jordan could always manage to bring out the best in everyone and put a smile on the face of anyone he encountered.
Jordan attended schools in the Hickman Mills and Grandview districts where he made so many friends throughout the years. He absolutely enjoyed spending time with his family and just being in the company of his friends. He had a big love for shoes and spent time shopping, playing video games, bonding with his son, loving on his fiancé Ratrice, music and entertaining and making people laugh were a few of the many things that brought joy to his life. He was so extremely excited about the pending birth of his second son and continuing to build a life with his growing family; family was everything to Jordan. He absolutely loved singing karaoke at the get together....and especially the food!
Jordan concluded his earthly journey at home on Sunday morning March 3, 2019. He joins his maternal grandfather; Jimmy Coburn Sr., great grandparents Norman Sr. & Dimple Calhoun, William Sr. & Helen Neal and Connie James Sr., uncle Norman Calhoun Jr.; paternal great grandparents Eunice & Helen Johnson and James & Ola B. Grandberry and his very best friend/brother Lemonte Douglas.
Those left to carry on Jordan's legacy are his son Jordan Cardierre Coburn, baby boy due to be born in April, his fiancé Ratrice Jordan; parents Lynn Coburn and John Grandberry, sister Jasmine Coburn and niece Rylan; grandparents Connie & Adele James and John and Irma Jean Grandberry, uncles & aunts Jimmy & Jocelyn Coburn, Mario James, Kaleena & Kyla James, Renee Taylor and Phyllis Grandberry and a whole host of other family and friends who will truly miss Jordan.
