Joseph Allen Taylor, Jr., 71, was born February 10, 1946. He was preceded in death by his mother Vivien Williams, father Joseph Allen Taylor, Sr., step-mother Genevieve Taylor and his ex-wife Minnie-Louise Taylor.

Joseph accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He graduated from Central High School. He served in the United States Army, where he fought in the Vietnam War and was a decorated war hero. Joseph worked for Butler Manufacturing Company before retiring.

Joseph departed this life on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He will be remembered for being kind to others and always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory from his union with Bernadette Bryant one son, Bernard L (Beverly) Bryant and one daughter, Marla Jo Bryant; from his union with Minnie-Louise Taylor one son, Joseph Allen Taylor III and one daughter Malinda V Taylor; his twin sister Joanne (Alfred) Pouncil; twenty-three grand-children, fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
