On the early morning of July 17th, God sent his angels to quietly and peacefully escort Joyce to her heavenly home.
Joyce was born on March 8th, 1957, to John W. and Corene Jewell Coleman. Both preceded her in death, as well as her brothers Leon Crudup and John Coleman. From the age of 2, Joyce was raised by Robert and Harriet White in Sandusky, Ohio. She attended Sandusky High school.
Joyce moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where she earned her G.E.D. Soon after, she attended Donnelly College and obtained her CNA. Joyce would eventually settle in Kansas City, Missouri. After 38 years, she retired from the health field.
Joyce had a strong passion for caring for people and strongly believed in the value of family. She raised and provided for her daughter Jamie Coleman and bonus daughter Lerita (Cortez) Battle. Her love for family and friends is well known. Joyce has touched the lives of many, including her grandchildren Quinten R. King (Melah), Landon W. King, bonus grandchildren Rae'Vyonne Morrow, Quandale Bowden, Dalequan Bowden, Ja'Vaughn Morrow, Zion and her great grandson, Naasir (ZZ) King.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 brothers: Wayne W. Coleman, William Coleman, Roy Coleman; and three sisters: Willa Coleman, Sebrena Coleman, and Patricia Seaton. One aunt, Gay Daphne Suber, a host of nieces and nephews, a long line of cousins, and her best friend since the age of 4, Gayle Bumpus Witherspoon.
