Joyce Marie (Burt) Glover, 82, Olathe, Kansas, departed this earthly life on February 9, 2017. She was born October 17, 1934 to Albert and Olivia Burt in Little Rock, Arkansas. Preceding her in death were her parents Albert and Olivia, her sister Albertine Burt, her husband Arbie Glover Jr. and her daughter Karen Sue Rumper. At an early age, they moved to Argentine, Kansas. Joyce attended school in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Sumner High School. Following high school, she attended the Kansas Technical School in Topeka where she was licensed in Cosmetology. While attending the KTI, she met the love of her life, Arbie L. Glover, Jr. and they were married in 1954. After marriage, they were blessed with eight children. Joyce was employed by Hisonic Electronic and retired after twenty-five years. She was a very active member of Second Baptist Church of Olathe. She was a member of many organizations and volunteered for the community. She leaves to cherish her memory: six sons, Victor (Clararene) Glover of Fayetteville, NC; Arbie (Jacquline) Glover III of Olathe, KS; Stuart Glover of Olathe, KS; Gaylan (LaWanda) Glover, Sr. of Olathe, KS; Gaytan (Jacquetta) Glover, Sr. of Pelham, AL and Gary (Nila) Richardson of Lancaster, CA; two daughters, Felicia (Dennis) Mills of Kansas City, KS and Deena Glover of Olathe, KS; one sister, Barbara Flowers of KCMO; twenty-two grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 18, 12:00 p.m. at City Center Church. Interment Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the church.
