Juanita J. Franklin, 76, was born August 3, 1941 in Turrell, Arkansas to the union of the late Andrew and Luvenia Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Franklin; son, Warren Franklin; one brother, Robert Lee Thomas; three sisters, Mae Ella Powell, Minnie Lee Johnson and Hazel Gage.

Juanita was educated in Mildred Jackson High School in Hughes, Arkansas. In 1958 she was united in holy matrimony to Frank James Franklin and to this union two sons were born, Warren and Michael.

Juanita made the transition of life along with her son on March 2, 2018 at the home.

She leaves to cherish his memory: her brother, Curtis Thomas (Gloria); three grandchildren, Michael A. Cook (Chianti) of Kansas City, MO, Brandon Shorter of Pine Bluff, AR and Tamara Hampton-Knox; four great grandchildren, Michael A. Cook III, Warren A. Cook, Tristian M. Cook and Brooklynn Knox; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, March 10, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
