Obituary

Kahliyah S. Walker, 15, KCMO, passed away on July 15, 2018 at Children's Mercy Hospital. She was born September 26, 2002 to Tyrone Rushing and Kashon Walker in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jamar Finley, Sr.; great grandmother, Lois Harris and brother, Terrece Rushing.

"CeCe" or "Shiddy", as she was affectionately called, was a loving, kind young lady who loved helping and interacting with people. She would always encourage others to do better and never judged them but rather accepted them for who they were. She loved listening to music and was inspired by rapper Cardi B's struggles and how she overcame them.

Kahliyah genuinely loved her family and friends. She was an amazing big sister who kept her siblings in order. She loved her Nana with all her heart and always made sure she was alright. When in time of need, she was called on her to pray and made her a strong warrior of God. She always encouraged her to believe and Kahliyah never lost sight of that. Surely she is now saying, "Thank you Nana".

She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Kashon Walker (Daryl Arnold); father, Tyrone Rushing (Tamila); two brothers, Jamar Finley, Jr. and Kamar Walker; three sisters, Rekiyah Walker, S'miyah Walker and Jamiyah Finley; paternal grandparents, Eugene Rushing, Jr. and Stephanie Watson; maternal grandparents, Ronnell Bennett and Ardella Smith; extended grandparents, Kenneth Finley (Jimmiel) and Molly Rogers (Nathaniel); aunts, Montoya Walker, Wilma Wells (Walter), Melissa Rushing and Kenyetta Finley; uncles, Montell Walker (Mickey), Ronald Walker, Stephen Watson, Lyndale Watson, Lewis Watson, William Finley and Kenneth Finley; great uncle, Virgil Gay, Jr.; special friend, Anteria Pratta and host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
