Karen Sue (Glover) Rumper, 52, Grandview, Missouri, passed away on May 1, 2016. She was born December 20, 1963 to Arbie Jr. and Joyce Glover in Olathe, Kansas. She went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 1, 2016. Karen was preceded in death by her father Arbie L. Glover, Jr. Karen was baptized at Second Baptist Church of Olathe. She was one of nine children and graduated from Olathe North High School in 1982. Karen met the love of her life, Stephen Rumper, Sr. in the Kansas City area and they were married on May 21, 1984. Karen worked at the Kansas School For The Deaf until 1986 when medical issues ended her career. She was affectionately known by her siblings and other family members as 'Kay Kay'. Kay Kay and Uncle Jolly's house was the hangout for her nieces and nephews. They gravitated to their home where they could hang out, play games and were introduced to lots of fine cuisine, as Kay Kay and Uncle Jolly liked to cook. Karen is survived by her husband, Stephen Rumper, Sr.; son, Stephen Rumper, Jr.; mother, Joyce Glover; siblings, Felicia Mills (Dennis), Victor G. Glover, Sr. (Clararene), Deena Glover, Arbie L. Glover, III (Jacqueline), Stuart Glover, Gaylan G. Glover, Sr. (Lawanda), Gaytan G. Glover, Sr. (Jacquetta), and Gary Richardson (Nila); a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends and acquaintances. Memorial services will be Friday, May 6, 6:30 p.m. at Second Baptist Church of Olathe. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be sent to the American Diabetes Association-Kansas City in memory of Karen Sue Glover Rumper. Condolences may be shared on this website.
