Obituary

Karen Ann Williams-White, 60, was born March 29, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Laura Bell Williams. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Fanetta R. Williams, and her father and mother-in-law, Bishop W.H. White, Sr. and Ruby L. Jackson.

Karen was educated in the Kansas City Public School District, graduating from Central High School in 1976. She received multiple certifications in the nursing field, as Karen was passionate about working with and helping others. Karen accepted Christ at an early age and worked tirelessly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the time of her passing Karen was employed by Rock Hill Manor as a CMT. She worked with this company she truly loved the staff and patients.

Karen married the love of her life, Bishop C.L. White, Sr. on September 19, 2002. She was faithful and devoted to her husband and family, and loved each of them unconditionally.

Karen has worked alongside her husband building up the kingdom of God. In 2004, they purchased the building at 207 Commercial St. in Aurora, MO. This ministry was used to house the homeless, feed the hungry and teach all about the goodness and unwavering love of Christ. In 2007, they relocated the ministry back to Kansas City, MO. Karen worked with the prison ministry until her passing, where she encouraged, uplifted and continuously prayed for many men of this ministry.

Karen departed this life peacefully on June 6, 2018 at Research Medical Center. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Bishop C.L. White, Sr.; sons, Frank Sr., Toyance, Jon Michael, Vernon, DeVon (Howard), Carva, Christopher and Jamil; daughters, Claudette, Kanisha, Katherine, Vincenta and Dawnisha; mother, Laura Bell Williams; brother, Glenn Williams; special grandson, Frank Richardson, Jr.; a host of brothers and sisters in-love, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, June 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
