Keith Humes, 63, died on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Bridgewood Health Care Center. He was born on May 26, 1957 to the union of Paul and Alfreda Humes in Washington, DC. His parents preceded him in death.

Keith relocated to the Kansas City area with his family at the age 5 and was educated in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools. He attended W. W. Yates and Yeager Elementary Schools and was a graduate of Manual High School class of 1975. He was employed at the Kansas City Star and the Kansas City Call Newspaper for many years.

Keith accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. James Porter, Sr. and the late Rev. Wiley J. Pettus. He loved baseball, football, basketball and other kinds of sports. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who will greatly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, step-mother, Alberta Humes, Washington, DC; six brothers, Michael Humes, Washington, DC, Steven Humes (Delores), Hyattsville, MD, Donald Humes, Paul Humes, Raymond Humes and Edward Humes all of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Paula Humes,
