Obituary

The sun rose for Kelvin Lee Parker on October 28th, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri to Eugene Wright and Eula Fay Parker. Kelvin was the fourth child born of nine and attended public school in the Kansas City Metro school district.

Kelvin overcame an unfortunate health setback at an early age. After regaining his mobility and speech he went on to do what doctors said he wouldn't, proving that he was one of God's strongest soldiers. Kelvin was a very kind and humble man who continued to exceed expectations and lived a prolific and sociable life. He worked in maintenance at The Muelbach Hotel for many years along with several other hotel jobs throughout his life.

Kelvin accepted Christ at an early age and stood firm in knowing that he was a child of God. He was well known for his kindheartedness and giving spirit and he made sure he always had something special for his nieces and nephews. As many know he had a genuine love for Church's Chicken and cheeseburgers, and never let you forget to bring him a monetary donation to aid in his indulgence. Kelvin loved to play bingo and call his loved ones several times a day to check on them, but most of all he loved the Kansas City Chiefs.

The sun set for Kelvin Lee Parker at age 62, on December 7th, 2019, at Life Care Center in Grandview, Missouri under the care of Crossroads Hospice. Preceding him in death are his parents, Eugene Wright and Eula Fay Parker and his baby brother, Gary Lee Parker.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: five sisters, Geneva Winstead, Marcella Parker, Patricia Clark (John), Annette Parker Bly (Earl) and Cheryl Parker; two brothers, Cleophus Parker and Jerry Parker all of the Greater Kansas City area and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
