Kerri Lynn Franklin, 57 of Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, July 30, 2021.
Kerri Lynn Franklin, was born on October 6, 1963, at Menorah Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, to Gus T. Franklin and Hazel M. Franklin.
Kerri was christened as an infant and remained faithful to God throughout her entire life. Kerri graduated from East High and attended Central Missouri State University. Kerri was a published poet in "Forever Spoken". Kerri worked for the Jackson County Department of Corrections and later as a security officer for Children's Mercy Hospital for ten years. Of all the career moves, Kerri's greatest love was working with children. Kerri was very outgoing, soft spoken and had global friendships.
Kerri is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Brian E. Franklin and niece, Shaunda D. Scales.
Kerri leaves to treasure the loving memories of her life: sons, Darrell Franklin and Rashiene Stewart, daughter, Aundrea Brown, mother, Hazel M. Franklin-Richie; father, Gus T. Franklin; brother, Kevin Franklin; sisters, Lezah Franklin-Marcias, Margo (Ronnie) Washington; Marsha (Bruce) Moore; grandchildren, Shaunda and Aries; and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held Monday, August 9, 2021, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. . Private Disposition.
