On October 26, 1993, Krishawn Te'Nia Marshall was born to Vickie L. Yarber and Anthony Marshall, Sr. Krishawn departed this life on August 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vickie; paternal grandparents, Lucille and Leodis Marshall; maternal grandfather, Woodrow McCowan; and aunts, Sameenah "Bobbie Jean" Jackson and Doris M. Reese.
Krishawn was educated in the Raytown School District and graduated in 2012 from Raytown High School. Her high school years were filled with activities including running track, playing clarinet in the band and singing in talent shows. In the community she was active in the Girl Scouts, marched with the Marching Cobras, and took lessons at Monica's School of Dance.
She loved church and was christened at an early age at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church where she became a member of the praise dance ensemble. Later she was baptized.
When Krishawn lost her mother at the age of 3, her Aunt Doris and Uncle Gary stepped in and provided a loving supportive home for her. Krishawn always had love, support, and whatever she needed from a large extended family. Her beautiful smile endeared her to all she met. During this time, Krishawn developed her passion for food and cooking. She loved watching her Aunt Doris and grandmother baking pies and cakes. Other passions included going out to eat, collecting anything Betty Boop, and creating "Diva" hairstyles.
On November 13, 2014, she gave birth to Ka'Ron Tyrell Marshall, the love of her life. She loved nothing more than spending time with her son. She loved cooking, going to the park, and watching Paw Patrol with him. She also loved family gatherings eating, playing games, laughing and talking.
Krishawn leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Ka'Ron T. Marshall; father Anthony Marshall, Sr.; sister/cousin, Octavia "Pumpkyn" Reese; brothers, Anthony Marshall, Jr. and Christopher Hamby; grandmother, Emma Jean Yarber; uncles, Gary L. Reese, Jerry L. Yarber, Theodis Marshall, Lee Marshall, and Steve Marshall; aunts, Yvonne Yarber-Collins, Johnnie Akins, Melissa Marshall, Tammy Marshall, and Linda Myrick; special friends, Jamal Redd, Tiara Arther, Richard William, and Kenneth Mabrie; many other great aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Funeral services Saturday, September 8, 11:00 a.m. at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.Visits: 0
