L.C. McKinzy, Jr., 63 was born on May 13, 1956, to the union of L.C. McKinzy, Sr. and Lucillie Fritz in Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ophelia, Jackie and Willie.

L.C. attended Kansas City Missouri School district, lastly at Westport High School.

L.C. McKinzy worked for J.E. Dunn Construction Company for thirty-eight years before retiring in 2008. He loved to fish and barbequing in his free time.

L.C. married Janet K. Harris on July 9, 2010.

L.C. departed this life on February 21, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Janet K. McKinzy; three children, Todd, Tamyca and Katreesa; one step-son, Elgin; four brothers, Melvin, Harold, Billy and Larry; two sisters, Lorraine and Catherine; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren, other relatives and friends, that loved him dearly.
