LaShonda Chay Johnson 38, was born on December 20, 1981 to Carolyn and Luther Johnson Jr in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Preceded Luther Sr and Francis Johnson , Wilmer and Georgiana McBride, Wanda Johnson, Albert Rush Jr and Alonda Cherry Banks.
Lashonda accepted Christ at an early age and was very spiritual in her adult life. She attended School in the Kansas City Mo School District during her childhood and adolescent years, also attending Southwest High School, later receiving her General Equivalency Diploma at Penn Valley Community College and also obtaining her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate at Donnelly College.
Lashonda was a young beautiful woman who had many talents. She was very creative and interior decorating is what she loved doing. She loved to entertain and sing also had a passion in writing poems.
Lashonda had a big heart and loved helping people and bringing people together. Most importantly she was a proud mother who adored and loved her four beautiful children so dearly and was very excited for the expected birth (July) of her first Grandaughter.
Lashonda leaves behind her parents: Carolyn McBride and Luther Johnson Jr.; four children, Saniah Jones, Sean Johnson, Gilvonni Johnson, Mahkari Johnson; two sisters Latosha (Charles) Lee, Ebony Johnson, One brother Luther Johnson III. maternal aunt's; uncles Joyce Rush, Joanne (Alonzo)Banks, Jacqueline ( OV) James; uncle Eugene McBride; paternal aunt's and uncles, Lillian Taylor(Rubin), Betty Johnson, Linda Johnson and Carol Johnson; uncle's, William Johnson, Bobby Johnson; six nieces; nephews, Tiree McBride, Anthony McBride Anttonae McBride Janaesha Johnson Shakia Johnson Antonio Johnson; one great nephew, Cameron McBride; expecting (July) one great niece; two special cousins Karen and Tracy Taylor; a host of family and friends.
Services are private held Friday, May 8, 2020 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation 11:00am-12:00 pm at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
