Lemuel Walter
Norman "Stu"
Aug 15, 1963 — May 30, 2024
Lemuel "Stu" Walter Norman was born to Auneea Bell MIckles and Lemuel Erroll Norman
on August 15, 1963 in Kansas City, KS. He departed this life on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
As the first born he was dearly loved by his family and affectionately called "Stu" by almost
everyone. He received his education through the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. Stu
attended Parker Elementary, West Middle, and was a proud member of the first graduating
class of Sumner Academy (1983). He later took his talents to Wichita State University.
Sports played a significant role in his life, especially basketball and football. In his earlier
years he was an avid basketball player, participating in tournaments around the city. The
Kansas City Chiefs was his number one team and during basketball season it was all about
the K.U.Jayhawks.
Stu made being a sports spectator FUN and EXCITING. His passion was cooking, no
matter the crowd, and he worked as a head chef for many upscale restaurants throughout
the Kansas City area. This joy led him to create his own catering business,"Stu's Catering".
In addition to cooking, he also along with his father operated "Lem and Son's Painting and
Contracting". In December 2019 Stu was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He faithfully attended Christian meetings at the Hillcrest Congregation in Kansas City, MO.
Stu had a strong faith in Jehovah and his future promises as outlined in the Holy Scriptures.
He was a humble and mild tempered man. A person that was delighted to serve Jehovah
and enjoyed every assignment. Stu enjoyed sharing in field ministry to the point of joining
his wife, serving as a continual Auxiliary Pioneer. Travel was something Stu truly enjoyed.
