Lenora Jean Roberson, 54, was born on July 29, 1964 to Rev. Bobby Roberson and Rose White in Kansas City Missouri. She was educated in the Kansas City public schools and graduated from East High School.

Lenora grew up as a member of Echoes of Melodies Holy Ghost Spiritual Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Henry A. Jackson. Lenora was very gifted in music as a musician, singer and composer. She attended many churches throughout her lifetime spreading her gift of music to various choirs and gospel groups including the Echoes of Melodies Singers, The Golden Crowns and The Golden Crownettes. Lenora was a member of Elijah Rock Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis Davis. Although Lenora had suffered health issues, that never stopped her from getting her praise on! She was a true worshipper and loved to praise God with her music. Her laughter and smile will be missed.

Lenora passed away on May 15, 2019 at the home. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Frances Brantley "Maw-Maw", grandmother Betty M. Jackson "Granny)", and mother Rose L. Cunningham (White).

Lenora leaves to mourn: her husband, Armond Nelson, Sr.; three sons, Barry Roberson, Alvin Roberson and Armond Nelson, Jr. (Jacquinta); father, Rev. Bobby G. Roberson, Sr., (Mary); grandfather, Bishop Henry A. Jackson; uncle, Archie White, Jr., (Zara); siblings, Bobby Roberson, Jr. (Eva), David Roberson (Laverne), and Stacie Roberson Mason (Rev. Gregory); one granddaughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, June 1, 11:00 a.m. at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
