Leron Hollinshed, 67, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on April 22, 2018 at Pinnacle Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born November 19, 1950 in Kansas City, Kansas to Herschel Hollinshed Sr. and Alice (Verser) Hollinshed. He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother Herschel Hollinshed, Jr. and a sister Marian Hollinshed.

As a lifelong area resident, Leron was educated in the Kansas City Kansas school district and graduated from Sumner High School in 1968.

Leron married Georgia Nichols on March 1, 1969 and from this union two children were born.

Leron was employed by Willamette Industries for over twenty-five years as a Supervisor and retired in 1994.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Georgia Hollinshed of Olathe, KS; son, Leron Hollinshed (Lucretia) of Olathe, KS; daughter, Sheilethia Massey (Andre) of Olathe, KS; siblings, Marvin Hollinshed of KCMO, Louise Freeman of KCK, Charlotte Payne of Schaumburg, IL, Alice Dove (Chuck) of Richmond, VA, Carolyn Hollinshed of Piper, KS and Ruby Hollinshed of KCK; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, April 28, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
