Leroy Toston, 79, was born November 24, 1932 in Boydell, Arkansas, to Sirl Toston and Sammie Devine. He was the 3rd of twelve children. He had four brothers, James Toston, Will Brown, Tommy Brown and Ollie Brown; six sisters, Emma Coleman, Dorothy Evans, Olivia Allen, Willie Mae Woods. Millie and Sammie Brown all preceded him in death, included was his son James Lee Toston.

Leroy moved from Arkansas in the 1950's, to Los Angeles, California, where he lived most of his life, until he retired. His very special friend, Ernestine Boyd, from Denver, CO., preceded him in death in January 2020. Leoroy, then moved to Kansas City, MO., in February 2020, where he lived with his nieces until he passed away on October 2, 2020.

Leroy leaves to cherish his memory, one sister Helen Britton, St. Louis, MO.; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild of Los Angles, California, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 16, at 12:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment will be at XII Gates Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the chapel.
