Obituary

Lillie Mae Block aged 84 was born In Forrest City, Arkansas. She peacefully passed away on May 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her Father Millard Hunter Sr., and her mothers Luvenia Guydon-Hunter and Jessie Knapper-Hunter.

Lillie completed her education in Hot Springs, Arkansas school district. She later relocated to Kansas City, MO, where she embarked upon a fulfilling career as a full-time cook at Gilbert-Robinson Corporation until her retirement. At retirement, she relocated to St. Paul, MN, where she delighted in fishing across the state's 10,000 lakes and frequently outplayed her sons at dominoes; These were some of her most loved and enjoyable moments. She also cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family, which led her back to Kansas City.

From a young age, she committed her life to Christ and actively participated in every church she joined, across the various places she resided. Rock of Ages Baptist Church (St. Paul, MN), Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church (Hot Springs, Ark.) Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church (Kansas City, MO). She served on the Usher Board, Choir and various other committees. Lillie was best known for her joy in preparing wonderful meals for family and friends, embodying her Christian faith through her generosity to others..

She leaves to cherish her memory her 10 kids: Barbara Hunter(deceased), Billy Ray, Ronnie (Sam), Debra (Brian), George (Lisa), Ethel, Zelda (McKinley), Herman (Karen), Tyrone (Terronya), Angie (Robert) deceased.

Siblings: Rev. Roosevelt, Survenria (Peter), Mazell, Wilbert (Wybonne), Herman (Betty), David and Lucinda.

50 Grandchildren and a host of Great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Daughter Barbara Hunter, Grandsons; Curtis Sherman and Javis Adams, Granddaughters; Taneisha Hunter and Terronya Block.

Siblings; Robert Hunter, Millard Hunter Jr., L.F Hunter., Veraline Blount, Willard Hunter and Calvin Hunter. She leaves a legacy of love and wonderful memories!
