Obituary

Linda Kay Smith, 53, KCMO, passed away on April 8, 2016. She was born November 21, 1962 to Albert Webb and Callie (Egans) Webb in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother, Callie (Egans) Webb; sisters, Joyce A. Webb, Paula (Wynn) Ayne; and grandparents Abner and Tressie Webb. Linda confessed Jesus Christ as her Savior at the Gethsemane C.O.G.I.C, under the leadership of Elder Daryl Randolph. Linda attended Woodland Elementary School and Lincoln High School, from which she graduated in 1981. She was a member of the 23rd Street Marching Cobras, Lincoln High Pep Club, and Concert Choir. Linda worked for DST for fifteen years until she became ill. Linda enjoyed entertaining, playing computer games, dancing and reading. She loved working in her yard, planting flowers, and sitting on her porch. People liked Linda's sense of humor. She always made you laugh. She leaves to cherish her memory: the love of her life, Terry Smith of Kansas City, MO; one son, Durand Webb of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Shauntae Hill (LeVar) and Brandy Robinson (David) both of Kansas City, MO; her father, Albert Webb and step-mother, Charlene Webb of Kansas City, MO; nine sisters, Stephanie Wynn, Sondra Webb, Carolyn (Webb) Pritchett, Martha Ann Sanders, Theresa Ray (Steven), Patricia Webb, Jean Conley (Michael), Amanda Westmoreland, and Tressie Webb all of the city; four brothers, Doctor Ivan Wynn, Albert L. Webb, Jr. both of Kansas City, MO, Maurice Webb (Misti) of Indianapolis, IN, and Jamall Webb, of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Dareon Webb, Amanee' Boyd, Ravel Hill, Bryson Hill and Tae'ona Hill; nine in-laws, Eula Smith, Frances Tindell, Patrice Bowman, Clarice Smith, Mary Smith, Leonard Smith, of Kansas City, MO; Lloyd Smith of Aurora, CO, Floyd Smith, and William Smith of Kansas City, MO; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23, 11:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Church of God in Christ. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on this website.
