Lisa Ann Cook, 59, KCMO, passed away on September 29, 2016. She was born January 15, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to Walton R. Miller and Theola A. Cook. Her parents; children, Anthony Cook and Nina Cook; sisters, Cynthia Hawkins, LaVaughn Penrice, Christina Ealom, April Cook; father-in-law, Elmer Gilbert, Sr. and mother-in-law, Angeline Gilbert all preceded her in death. Lisa was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri, attending Paseo High School and later completing her education in 1981 at Job Corps in San Jose, California. Lisa was united in marriage to Alonzo Frazier. Upon his passing, she later married Elmer Gilbert, Jr. She truly loved her family and spending time with family and close friends. To know her was to love her, as she did whatever she could to help those she came in contact with. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Elmer Gilbert, Jr.; children, Iiesha D. Cook, Keola S. Cook and Jermone D. Gilbert; brothers, Frederick Cook of KCMO, Walter Cook (Logania) of San Antonio, TX, Terry Cook of Alameda, CA, Bobby Cook of Overland Park, KS and Anthony Gilbert of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Karen Johnson, Anita Watson (Anthony), Freda Suber, Gaylynn Wilson and Maureen Jackson all of KCMO, Behula Hunt and Ardell Willis both of Milwaukee, WI; special friends, Lou 'Boo' Bowers and Lisa Collins; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 8, 2:00 p.m. at Christ Tabernacle Church. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E.
