Obituary

Lisa Lanell Hale passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, with her family surrounding her with love, prayers and care.

She was born on November 18, 1969, to parents Charles H. Hale and Tessa L. Jackson, in Chicopee, MA.

Her father, Charles Hale; Great Grandmother, Mary Douglas, Grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. (Mabel) Gerald Schiele; Uncles, Douglas E. Jackson, Paul C. Jackson and John A. Jackson. And our beloved cousin Paul F. Jackson.

Lisa was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. She graduated from Southwest High School in May, 1988. A few years after graduating high school, she earned her Substitute Teaching Certificate from the Missouri Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education in June, 2012. Finally, she earned her Bachelor of Business Management from University of Phoenix, at Kansas City in 2015.

Lisa worked for several years in finance with State Street, Bank of America and Academy and Armed Forces Bank. In addition, Lisa taught in the KCMSD as a Substitute Teacher. This lovely young lady has worked for Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church for 20 years as the Church Administrator, a position she truly loved and cherished.

Lisa accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 14 years old, however, she began her Christian journey long before when she attended, along with her family, Pleasant Green Baptist Church, KCMO under the leadership of Rev. Gerald Schiele, her grandfather. During the early 2000's she became a member of Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership to Pastor Emeritus Price Ellis and Pastor Harrison Jackson. She has remained faithful to her church in giving God the glory in her work and caring for the members.

As a child, Lisa was a bubbly little girl who was curious about the world around her. During her grade school and high school years she made many friends. She was an outgoing young lady with an ambitious heart that led her to help others. She was always willing to listen and offer kind words of advice. Lisa loved to cook. She began cooking around the age of 12 and she had aspirations of opening a Catering business. She loved to be around people and offer her hospitality. She also liked to go dancing and traveled to many destinations. Lisa was not one to sit still – she loved to get out and go, even as a little girl.

Lisa leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, Mother, Tessa L. Jackson, Sister, Tracie L. Hale, Nephew, Douglas Gerald-Edward Hale, Aunt, Norma Switzer, Cousin Anthony Jackson, Neice and Great Nephew-in-Love, Dmiyah and Metzli J., and Best Friend Kim Harrison, along with many other family members and friends.
