Lola Frances Newton, 78, passed away on October 12, 2018. The eighth of nine children, she was born April 12, 1940 to Ben and Iris Ball Stewart. Both parents preceded her in death. She professed Christ at an early age at the Antioch Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas. She later moved to Kansas City, Missouri and united with the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ. She served on the senior usher board and also served as the Department Directors for Beginners Department of the Sunday School.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Donald, Jr., Rodney Laron and Joseph Lynn Newton; seven grandchildren, Sy, Marie, Deitra, Joselyn, Joseph Jr., Javon, Ra'shawn and Sean; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Lilian Watson and Ruth Parker; an adopted daughter, Rozie Anderson; six nephews, four nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Thursday, October 18, 10:00 a.m. at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
