Lolita Caldwell 88, died on September 16, 2020 at home. She was born August 8, 1932, in Roseland, Louisiana to Alonzo Richardson and Mary Burton-Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Timothy Richardson, Alonzo Richardson and Robert Lee Richardson, two sisters, Pearl Richardson and Bernita Richardson.

Lolita was educated in the public schools of Louisiana. She attended college at Southern University earning a Master's Degree in Education. She taught in the Kansas City Missouri Public School District, where she later retired from Westport Middle School in 1994, as a history teacher.

Lolita was involved in many organizations and was a member of Calvary Chapel Church where she attended and served as a Mother of the church until her health declined. Some of the organizations Lolita was involved were, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Women's Foundation of Kansas City, MO, AFT Teachers Union, and Jack & Jill of America. She also gave to many charitable foundations such as the American Cancer Society, Police Fund, Firefighter Fund, etc.

Lolita was married to the late Bennie W. Caldwell for 31 years, he also preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter , Benita Caldwell; one brother, Charlie Richardson; two grandchildren, Ajia White and Kylan White and a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be Saturday, October 17, at 4:00pm at the Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Private Disposition. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic face masks are required.
