L.T. Davis, 59, was born on September 5, 1960 to the union of Arthur Lee Davis and Annie Bell (Jefferson) Davis in Hughes, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, David Davis and George Davis, two sisters, Helen Davis and Minnie Bell Davis, four nephews, Harry Conway, Allen B. C. Davis, Virgil Davis, Lonzell Davis and one niece, Shaylynn Davis.
L.T. was relocated to Kansas City, Missouri as a young child with his family, growing up on the West Side. He was educated in the Kansas City public schools and was a graduate of West High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Good Shepherd Mission.
L.T. was employed at the Rusty Scupper Restaurant for many years, he presently employed at Swope Ridge Geriatric Center as the dietary manager until his passing. He was united in marriage to the former Lanita Fowler.
L.T. loved cooking, barbecuing, fishing and spending quality time with his family. He considered himself the Bar-B-Q King. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fans, he could always be seen in Steelers gear.
He departed this life on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Research Medical Center.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Lakeybria Davis, mother, Annie Bell Davis; seven brothers, Willie C. Davis, William Swift, Gary McGowan, Leon McGowan, Danny McGowan, Charles Davis and Dary McGowan; eight sisters, Mae L. Conway, Patricia A. Davis, Brenda Davis, Diane Davis, Ernestine Davis, Annette Davis, Peggy Davis and Linda Davis; ten grandchildren, Lonn'ezhia Davis, Martae Swayzer, Jr., Kenn'taevien Butler, Kenn'eyzhz Butler, Kenn'essen Butler, Kennye'yae Butler, Kennye'yon Butler, Paul Thompson, Jr., Pay'den Thompson and Pay'dreyanna Thompson; god children, Markeila and Stephan Hightower; two special friends, Carson Staten and Anthony Williams; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Friday, May 29, at 11:00am at the Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation Friday 9:00am-10:45am at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
