Obituary

Lucille Ball was born on April 23, 1951, in Marks, Mississippi, to the union of Beuddy Lee Elmore and Roberta Quales. A woman of deep faith, Lucille was a devoted Jehovah's Witness and a proud member of the Westport Congregation in Kansas City.

For over five decades, Lucille called Kansas City home. She became a cherished figure in the community, known not only for her kindness and compassion but for the countless lives she touched as a dedicated daycare owner. She poured love and care into generations of children, nurturing them as if they were her own.

Lucille was also a gifted seamstress, whose hands created beauty and comfort in every stitch. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, and she took pride in feeding both body and soul. And if there was a good deal or a stylish outfit to be found, Lucille would find it—she had a true passion for shopping and doing so in style.

Above all, Lucille was a loving and devoted mother. She leaves behind her son, William R. Ball, and daughter, Lawannee Ball, both of Kansas City, Missouri. Her memory will be treasured by them and a host of family members, friends, and those whose lives she graciously impacted throughout the years.

Per the wishes of the family, there will be no public service. The family will celebrate her life and legacy privately.

Though Lucille may no longer walk among us, the warmth of her spirit, the sound of her laughter, and the legacy of her love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
