Obituary

Lynnette "Pooh" J. Budgetts, 47, was born on February 8, 1971 to the union of Clifton Taylor and Jocelyn Budgetts in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the eldest of two children. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmothers Jacqueline "GG" Budgetts and Ernestine Taylor; grandfather, Benjamin C. Budgetts and two uncles, Clarence Budgetts and Darryl Budgetts.

Lynnette was affectionately known as "Pooh" by her family and friends. She was a lifelong area resident and was educated in the Kansas City Missouri public schools. She was a graduate of Ruskin High School, after which she attended Longview Community College.

Lynnette attended Grace Spiritual Temple, but she also enjoyed visiting New Life Spiritual Temple and various other churches throughout the city. She was active with the Kansas City Marching Falcons drill team with her beloved children, and also she work closely with the Egyptian Cobras.

Lynnette was employed at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Parking and Transportation services. She was a valued member of the parking services team, always pleasant with an engaging smile and keen sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Lynnette departed this life on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the St. Luke's Hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Jarelle Hamilton; two daughters, Ja'Neice Hamilton and Ja' Nya Jackson; her father, Clifton Taylor; mother, Jocelyn Budgetts; one brother, Ramon Budgetts (Melissa); grandson, Devon "Grammy's Baby" Edwards; three uncles, Patrick Budgetts, Anthony Budgetts and Michael Taylor; two aunts, Victoria Budgetts and Shelia Taylor; great aunt, Annette Bartlette; special daughter, Corrine Moore; special sister, Janice Ward; and a host of beloved relatives, extended family and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, May 5, 1:00 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
