Lynnette Jean Shelby, 48, passed away on August 4th, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born July 29th, 1969 in Kansas City, Missouri to Quenton and Cheryl (England) Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and a host of uncles and aunts. Lynnette was educated in the Kansas City public schools and attended Westport High School. She was employed by the Kansas City School District for over fifteen years. Lynnette was a very loving and caring individual who loved to help others. She was well known for her acts of kindness. Lynnette enjoyed cooking for Christmas and Thanksgiving, and would go all out for Halloween. She loved to host gatherings as she was always the life of the party, but music was her favorite. Above all, her heart was the most glad at being a mother and grandmother 'Nanny'. She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Quenton Shelby, Shaneisha Shelby, LaQueisha Shelby and Iesha Shelby; four sisters, Cheryl Edmondson, Marshon Brown (Robert), LaTina Shelby and Kimberly Boles; seven grandchildren, Adrian Lewis, Jr., Tre'Veon Haislip, Amarri Lewis, Amani Miller, Taiesha Haislip, Taityana Haislip and Adrian Lewis III; six nephews and nieces, Shonta, Sydnie, Robert Jr., Lewis Jr., Lewone and Contalita; nine great nephews and nieces, Javion, Marquan, JaeQuan, Myonna, Jayonna, Marshawn, Allie, Jayon and Noah; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services Friday, September 1, 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church. Private disposition. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
