Marcia Marie
Lacy
Oct 23, 1951 — Apr 17, 2017
Marcia Marie (Celestine) Lacy, 65, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on April 17, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House. She was born October 23, 1951 to the union of Isaiah Cornelius and Ola Mae Celestine. She was preceded in death by her father, Isaiah C. Celestine; stepfather, John W. Harbin; sister, Cherita Jo Celestine; and a grandson, Curtis 'Raphael' Fletcher. As a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Missouri, she graduated from Central High School. After graduating high school she was employed by AT&T where she served over thirty years before retiring. In July 2001, Marcia was united in marriage to Kenneth Leroy Lacy. Marcia was a very outspoken, giving and generous person. She was also very fashionable and took a great deal of pride in her appearance. One of her many beliefs was to treat others as you would want them to treat you. Marcia was a firm believer in family values. She truly loved her family and shared a special bond with her grandchildren whom she loved as if they were her own. They were all her pride and joy, and she would do anything for them without hesitation. Marcia was loved by many and touched the hearts of those she came in contact with. For that, she will be dearly missed. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Curtis Lionel Celestine (Jacqueline); daughter, Myisha Marie Madge (Chris); mother, Ola Mae Harbin; four brothers, Donald Celestine (Rita), Ronald Celestine (Carolyn), her twin, Marshall 'Steve' Celestine and Brian Huey; three sisters, Bertha Mae Celestine, Clara Lorraine Knight and Angela Denise Harbin; grandsons, Ontonio Celestine, David Kerr, Jr., Isaiah Madge, Ezekiel Savage and Isaiah Brown; granddaughter, Kyra Savage; great grandson, DaeVeon Kerr and host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
