Marcus Joseph Mosley, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on June 14, 2017 at Kaw River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Edwardsville, Kansas, after struggling with respiratory failure since October 2017. He was born April 1, 1977 K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the youngest of six children born to Eddie L. and Arletha D. (Fultz) Mosley. Both parents, paternal and maternal grandparents and two nephews, Patrick Mosley and Kevin G. Addison, Jr. all preceded him death. Marcus was born with Hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain). After numerous surgeries, Marcus lost his vision, ability to hear, speak and walk. In spite of his conditions and being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Marcus was able to attend elementary school at Phillis Wheatley, Deaf/Blind Program and Manual High School, Deaf/Blind Program, graduating in 1995. Marcus also attended Nova Adult Day Care from 1998-2011 before moving on to the Rainbow Center, Blue Springs, Missouri in 2012. Marcus was loved by so many and he constantly felt the love and presence of all who touched his life. He will truly be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory: his sister and caretaker, Marsha C. Addison (Kevin) of Raytown, MO; brothers, Ronald C. Mosley, Sr. and Avery D. Mosley both of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Rhonda L. Walton (Larry) of Kansas City, MO and Daphne K. Wilson (Neil) of Fort Worth, TX; nephews, Brandon Mosley, Jason Mosley, Kartez Addison (Jamie), Ronald Mosley, Jr., Neil Wilson (Danielle) and Terrance McNealey; nieces, Markesha Addison-Crowe (Robert), Latoya Mosley, Jessica Cobb (Brandon) and LaRhonda McNealey; a host of uncles, aunts, great nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 22, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
