Marie Norrise departed this life Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her home.

Marie was born to the union of Fred T. and Ione Wayne in Lexington, Missouri on March 18, 1919.

She was the youngest of 12 siblings. Marie attended elementary and high school in Lexington, Missouri. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri and attended Western Baptist College.

She accepted Christ as Saviour in her young adult years, and later in her life she converted to the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Altar Society at St. Therese Little Flower. She served in the position until her health was failing, and she could no longer continue to do what she loved to do.

Marie was employed at Rosalie's Dress shop in Ranch Mart Shopping Center as a window dresser and bookkeeper until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three nephews, eleven siblings, and her beloved husband Johnny Norrise.

She leaves to cherish her memory one niece, Delores Lewis, many great nieces and nephews, second great nieces, and nephews, third great-nieces and nephews, a host of friends, two care givers, Niema Tucker, and Alisha Griddine-McGill, and one special caregiver Gabrielle Gibson and a best friend, Julaine Preston.
