Marilyn A. Middlebrooks, 73, was born April 20, 1944 in Fulton, Missouri to Malver Cooper and Hazel Chambers. Her parents and a sister, Joanna Bethany preceded her in death. Marilyn was educated in the public schools of Fulton, Missouri and graduated from Fulton High School. She later made her home in Kansas City, Missouri, where she resided until her passing. Marilyn was united in marriage to James E. Middlebrooks, who also preceded her in death. She truly loved her family and shared a special relationship with each of her children and grandchildren. Marilyn's passion for children extended into a career of working with disabled children for a number of years. She was also employed by Dazey Products until it's closing. Marilyn enjoyed fishing, particularly for crawfish. Marilyn departed this life on July 17, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House. She will be deeply missed. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Michael A. Howard (Sarita) and Christopher Middlebrooks; one daughter, Nicole Middlebrooks-Frazier (Malcolm); four grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, July 28, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
